Is Jesus fortold in the vedas & scriptures ?

We find Daniel 7 and Isaiah 53 as instances for the prophecy of the Messiah, Christ the redeemer but have you pondered its revelance to India, the vedas and how it may offer some insight into the prophecy of Jesus:  Before time began, Prajapati , the "Lord of Creatures," existed alongside the eternal Word, Vak ( Kathaka Samhita 12:5 / Tandya Maha Brahmana 20:14:2 ), establishing that the Word was truly the Supreme Divine. This perfectly mirrors the Gospel opening: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" ( John 1:1 ). As the divine "first-born of God" ( Rig Veda X:121:1 / Yajur Veda 32:4 ).   To answer humanity's deepest prayer to be led from darkness to light ( Brhadaranyaka Upanishad 1:3:28 ), Jesus proclaimed, "I am the light of the world" ( John 8:12 ). The scriptures mandated that the ultimate cosmic sacrifice ( Yajna ) required a flawless savior. The Chandogya Upanishad (1:6:6-7) describes thi...

Do Christians keep the Sabbath?

Jesus healed on the sabbath, according to Jesus, God too works on the sabbath!    And finally Jesus himself claimed that he is Lord of the sabbath and excused his disciples!   Jesus gave authority to Peter and told him that through him the church will be established, what he approves or rejects will also be accepted in heaven.   Secondly what is the significance of the Sabbath?    On the seventh day God rested and so it was commanded that people should rest.    It was made so that people take a break and not slave away continuously!    Unless anyone kept track from the beginning, the exact day from the 7th day of rest, no one can or should make the silly claim that any Abrahamic religion fails to keep the sabbath, one day dedicated to the Lord in every seven days, as they all do.    Now Jews celebrate it from Friday evening to Saturday, Islamic sabbath is Friday, the Christians on Sunday though some Christian denominations...

What are evidences of Christmas and Easter and other holy days celebrated?

Is there evidence for Christmas, yes, in records the Roman census was the reason for Joseph and Mary’s visit to Bethlehem.     Astrologically, the star of Bethlehem appeared on day of the Birth of Jesus, as to the season, the Bible mentions that it was a cold night.     But let’s just say we celebrate a day for the Birth of Jesus so we begin a new year by accepting Jesus into our lives and renew ourselves to be like minded as Christ.     Most of these records were lost over time but surely it was still available for scrutiny during the time of the first Gospels and there were people like the Bereans who never accepted anything without evidence and scrutiny. How about Easter?    Jesus was the sacrificial lamb, he was crucified by the insistence of the high priest according to Jewish law, not Roman law, as he was already whipped for it as per the Roman law for his alleged blasphemy.    This happened on passover so we have a clearly linked ...

What is the significance of the crucification of Jesus?

The Mission at Calvary Adam disobeyed God, so he was removed from his presence.  It is the disobedience of man that separates him from God.  It is written that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit, that God dwells in you. Jesus performed healing and the great many miracles through the Holy Spirit.  Jesus promised all the believers the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Jesus redeemed us by taking up the burden of the sin of all mankind upon his shoulders.  God cannot look upon sin (Habakkuk 1:13), so God could not look upon his son who took upon himself the sins of man. It is written in (Romans 6:23) that the wages of sin is death. God is impartial, so whoever bears it must face the consequences. Jesus emptied himself of divine nature(Philippians 2:5), so was enduring pain and suffering, but that does not make him any lesser, he accomplished his mission, he was the passover sinless lamb that was scarified on that day at the hands of the high priest f...

Was Paul the founder of Christianity?

About Paul and his Mission Paul was known as Saul of Tarsus.   He was not the founder of Christianity but he was seeking and destroying Christianity.  He was in the leadership position of the Pharisees.  Why would he resign his commission if he wanted to be in a place of power and authority to follow an unknown persecuted religion?  Phillipians 3:5  Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;  6  Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. He was born a Roman, the highest level of citizenship at that time.  He was Saul of Tarsus. Acts 22:27  Then the chief captain came, and said unto him, Tell me, art thou a Roman? He said, Yea.  28  And the chief captain answered, With a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free born.  29  Then straightwa...

What is the Church of Christ?

The Definition of a Church The church is not the building, it is the people who come together in close fellowship to worship Christ.   It is based on a promise of Jesus that when people gather together in his name that he would be present in their midst.   The communion is the breaking of bread and sharing of wine that we do in remembrance of His love and sacrifice, to be one body in Christ and for remission of sins.   Worship can be in silence or traditional praise with songs and dance as the Israelites did to celebrate the Lord and for his goodness and providence. Matthew 18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. 1 Corinthians 12:12  For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.  13  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all m...
