The Mission at Calvary
Adam disobeyed God, so he was removed from his presence. It is the disobedience of man that separates him from God. It is written that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit, that God dwells in you. Jesus performed healing and the great many miracles through the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised all the believers the gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus redeemed us by taking up the burden of the sin of all mankind upon his shoulders. God cannot look upon sin (Habakkuk 1:13), so God could not look upon his son who took upon himself the sins of man. It is written in (Romans 6:23) that the wages of sin is death. God is impartial, so whoever bears it must face the consequences. Jesus emptied himself of divine nature(Philippians 2:5), so was enduring pain and suffering, but that does not make him any lesser, he accomplished his mission, he was the passover sinless lamb that was scarified on that day at the hands of the high priest for forgiveness of mankind and eternal salvation which was spoken of by Prophet (Isaiah 53:4-9) and (John 3:14) to fulfill the prophecy and anyone who looks upon the cross with the eyes of faith may be healed just as Moses raised the serpent on a pole n the wildernesses. Before giving up his spirit to God, Jesus prays and recites (Psalm 22),“My God, my God, why had thou forsaken me”. After his prayers, he surrenders his spirit to God, which is something only God can do, “Into your hands I commend my spirit”.
God is impartial so Jesus dies on the cross for the wickedness of man by his own surrender to the fulfilment of law, that no man may boast by their works but receive the kingdom of God freely by grace. God loved his creation, however they were given free will, and they were deceived into cutting themselves off from God by the very gift. Jesus was the only one by perfect obedience in the form of man paid the price for the disobedience of man
Habakkuk 1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity:
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Luke 23:46 Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, 'Father, into your hands I commit my spirit! ' And having said this he breathed his last
John 10: 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
17 Therefore doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received from My Father.”
In the Quran there is evidence that the crucification was removed:
Surah (19:33) Proof of Jesus death and resurrection
وَالسَّلٰمُ عَلَىَّ يَوۡمَ وُلِدْتُّ وَيَوۡمَ اَمُوۡتُ وَيَوۡمَ اُبۡعَثُ حَيًّا
(Surah 19:33) Peace be upon me the day I was born and the day I will die, and the day I will be raised up alive."21
God’s promise to Abraham to provide his son as ransom:
وَفَدَيْنَـٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍۢ
(Surah 37:107) And We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice,
This Jesus was the ransom for forgiveness of all mankind and only through him there is eternal salvation.
